Listening to 2 Samuel at the moment, and struck by how often it records the Lord being involved in history by frustrating the plans of the wicked

When his hand is against them he will raise up someone to give them exactly the wrong advice, confuse them, or pronounce a curse on them

Beware of being appointed to serve in a failing system… It might be that God has raised you up for such a time is this, but what you’ve been raised up for was not what you thought it was in the first place!
